For today......

I tried to find a poem for this quote but I ended up reading many and recording not a one. Actually I could not decide between a poem that was serious or a poem that was silly. 

My mind is jumpy today and is not landing on or staying with a thought for any length of time. 

All I know is I am very thankful that I have a yoga class to attend in just a little while.

Shine

My journal page for today was a contrast to the weather outside. I started my 

day

 feeling

 slightly under the weather

The fact that the snow was now turning to ice was not making me smile 

until I glanced at the bird feeder

Disgruntled

Yes I am in a disgruntled mood tonight. My kids and my husband(a school teacher) have been home far to many days in the last two months. I love them dearly but am feeling overwhelmed with their continual questions, wants and desires. 

But we have had some sweet or discordant moments......

Circles of Hope

Sundays journal project was to be about a shape and I chose CIRCLES.....

Today, Monday, in my journal I created a page and then I added the word HOPE.......

Today my thoughts have revolved around circles of hope. I am not sure what these words means to me. What does the phrase "circles of hope" mean to you? Please share your thoughts.....Thank you.

Crayons to Giveaway

Years ago I found an article about Eric Sloane and knew I wanted to paint like this.... I  love his subject matter.....I love his use of color and light. I still love outdoor scenes and natural light but have not mastered the ability to paint them.

SATURDAY my giveaway ( not sure how this giveaway is going to work but will let you know.)

My giveaway is a collage packet filled with vintage sheet music, old book pages, a few of my prints, etc. So please leave a comment or comments and on Monday I will do a drawing for the lucky winner.

Etsy & bunny

I think I have lost my mind.  I decided to set up an esty account to sell some wonderful collage  packets that Megan and I have put together. I had a great deal of difficulty down loading images to my   etsy   account but I did get a quick lesson from husband Pat on what a gif vs. jpeg image is. Oh how my head is swimming now. Please take a look and let me know what I have forgotten to do and I will edit tomorrow. 

Oh and I forgot look at the newest member of our household....

Pink

The color of the day is pink......

A routine task made different
with three little girls in the house

For a man who learned
laundry “skills” in college,
long before boys took Home Ec.

We were lucky when there was more
than a single load
(that didn’t cause the washer to tilt)

Now with a four, five, and nine year old
cluster of little princesses
It is darks, whites, and pinks
when I sort their clothes

Separate baskets, separate settings,
for pink clothes –
Capris, and “blouses”, and skorts,

Yellow

I reworked my red page in my journal.

Then I turned the page and started exploring with the color yellow. I though of sunflowers, daffodils, tulips, lilies, and  daisies. 

I loved how warm this painting appears. It has been a frigid day here on the East coast. Thoughts of sun drenched beaches have been dancing through my brain.

 I do not mind the cold but I truly wish we would get some snow. Since we have had no snow to date we will get dumped on in February.

I am going to head downstairs and build a  roaring fire and read my magazines that arrived in the mail today. 

Oh to be a dog in my house is the ultimate life! Clean blankets, floors swept daily, fresh water and lots of food. Life Is Good.
