Understanding and Love

Today Allison, Megan, Justin and I went shopping  to save money because of the after holiday sales....ha ha.
P1010673  I spent allot of money and am not sure where the savings took place. I must admit I am a sucker for the 75% off Christmas stuff. We started at Target. We were looking for the game Apples to Apples but some how I ended with a cart full of clothes, decorations, and a rug. With the game and extras bought we headed for Sports Authority for running shoes for Megan and yoga  apparel for me. Success was had on both accounts.

The next two stops where Michaels and Borders.P1010680_2 What was I thinking four stores in one outing. No I am not a shopaholic. Yes I can spend money better than most people. Walking up and down the endless aisles does exhaust me but the kids were an absolute joy. Finally I realized I was toast and we headed home.

I am thankful to be home. I am now attempting to write a beautiful heart warming post for this New Years Eve 2007. This morning I found the perfect quote from Sarah Bran Breathnach. For the past year I have been searching for something more in my life. This blog and all my wonderful blogging friends are helping me find my something more. For the this new year I wish you all.....
Something More is caring, communion, companionship, connection, commitment. Something More  is the giving and the receiving of unconditional love. For at the end of the day, or at the end of a life, all we truly have is ourselves and love. And if we love our selves-truly,madly,and deeply-all we have is all we'll need.
For the sake of all that  is holy, believe that you deserve  nothing less than Something More.

I wish you all a very safe and happy  New Years Eve. In the words of Thich Nhat Hanh may this new year be filled with......
True understanding.....Understanding and love are values that transcend all dogma.
I wish you all in the year 2008 a year filled with Hope and Love,
Susan

Today while attempting to clean and organize my house I took many breaks to read. Then Justin and I went out to look for sale items at Sports Authority. While out we decided we should have dinner at the Green Turtle. We returned home to watch Harry Potter.

The latest obsession in my house is guitar hero. I finally broke down and attempted the game. Wow! I had no idea how terrible I could be at a game. My children had no sympathy they just giggled.

Two or three years ago  I was willing enthralled with decoupage. I loved then and still do now the work of Durwin Rice. I will write more about this wonderful art in January.  Here are a view images from my decoupage Christmas.

P1010488_2 P1010489_2 Boring day started off by paying bills and seeing how much money was left for Christmas shopping. Then I did laundry.

Finally once all the chores were finished , yoga class taken and Megan driven home from the dance studio, I painted on some t-shirts.
